What is a surfboard Inlay/Decal ? Surfboard inlays/Decals are Custom printed designs (logos, Graphics, Photos or artwork) There are two different types of processes which are called Digital Printing and Sublimation. The Direct Printing process is used on specialty media used specifically for the surfboard Industry, this media most commonly called Rice Paper and is a very thin media that registers the graphics very nicely and it also becomes transparent once laminated. The Sublimation process once printed is registered onto the Fabric by using a very high heat process to embed the design right into the fabric itself. Some Inlays can add strength to the boards once placed under the Resin/Laminate. Surfboard Inlays can offer you a more permanent way to customise your board.
